Many people dream of seeing the incredible Amazon rainforest and perhaps imagine that this may entail a bit of a rough and ready trip to get off-piste and into the wilderness. Not so if you are lucky enough to stay at the Treehouse Lodge. This is the only all-inclusive treehouse resort in the Peruvian Amazon, at the confluence of the serene and protected Yarapa and Cumaceba rivers near the Pacaya Samiria Reserve. To experience the jungle in this way is truly a once-in-a-lifetime kind of adventure and one we should all aspire to!

Guests staying at Treehouse Lodge are offered a new perspective on the jungle. From the accommodation, it is possible to be level with the monkeys and birds as they frolic through the canopy and enjoy the treetops. What a fantastic sight to wake up to each morning! You needn’t think that getting up into these heights means that your comfort must be sacrificed. Indeed, quite the opposite is true. Each treehouse has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the height of the buildings mean that you escape the worst of the jungle humidity, which is an added bonus.

There are twelve treehouses to choose from at Treehouse Lodge. Some of these are constructed above areas that are seasonally flooded, creating an impressive view below one’s feet when staying here during these times! Some are accessed via a trapdoor in the floor, so even those searching for a relaxing slice of luxury will feel at least a little adventurous. Cable wooden bridges connect many of the treehouses, and crossing these will take your breath away as you glance around and see into the crowns of the trees and share the space with the wildlife living here.

Guests must stay at Treehouse Lodge for a minimum of two nights, and rates for this start at €600. All treehouses are for two people, though extra cots can be added on request.
