Treehouse in Belgium: The Treehouse

The Sappi TREEHOUSE is the result of an architectural project led by four parties that joined forces in a unique partnership to stimulate companies, politicians, and organizations to embrace sustainability in their daily activities.

The idea of the TREEHOUSE originated from Sappi, an international paper producer, and its communications agency Proximity BBDO. The Flemish Forest and Nature Agency and the city of Hechtel-Eksel quickly joined in, all with the same vision: environmental quality and social responsibility for the benefit of people, planet, and profit. The project aims to bridge the gap between economy and ecology. Therefore the TREEHOUSE is also an online platform where people can share ideas from their brainstorming sessions which can lead to interesting cross-pollination.

The TREEHOUSE is open to any company or organization with a keen interest in sustainability. It offers a unique location with a capacity of up to 15 people. Anyone can make reservations for a whole day at a price of 400 € (VAT excl.), as long as the organized event is in line with the Treehouse philosophy.
