Treehouse in Canada: Outa-The-Woods
‘Enchanting’ is the word that first comes to mind upon sighting Outa-The-Woods, a truly unique treehouse in Canada. The cabin all looks a little wonky and incredibly charming. This first impression certainly prepares guests for the kind of holiday they are in for by booking this retreat; unique, relaxing, and a little like a fairy tale. So much natural wood has been used in the construction of this treehouse that it really feels like it has grown out of the trees themselves. The craftsmanship is second to none and guests should keep their eyes peeled for wonderful secret wood carvings that are hidden in nooks and crannies throughout the house.
The Outa-The-Woods treehouse is perched on a large platform hovering 5 meters off the ground. Seven of the surrounding trees are included in its construction. Reminders of the beauty of trees are scattered within the cabin. The sink is hand carved from burl, the banisters for all the staircases are branches in their natural form, the furniture is all hand-carved, and the trees themselves are of course featured. From the balcony of the treehouse, there is a view of the mountains beyond, though closer by is a pond and seemingly endless forest.
The seclusion of the location of the Outa-The-Woods treehouse means that there is a high chance of spotting the native wildlife during a stay here. Previous guests have seen elk, deer, moose, turtles, otters, and of course birds of all kinds. The whole area has a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere and it is a magical experience to live in the trees. This treehouse has everything one needs for a peaceful holiday and there are plenty of trails in the surrounding area for those that want a bit of action during their time.
Rates for a night at Outs-The-Woods start from €130, though there is a minimum stay of three nights. This treehouse is not available over the winter months.
