Treehouse in Canada: Seaside Tree Tent

It is easy to see why the Seaside Tree Tent has been listed as one of the seven best treehouses in Canada by the Chatelaine tourism magazine. A large part of it is definitely the view; the expansive deck of this treehouse gives a wonderfully impressive panorama of the Brudenell River, all the way until the horizon. The deck is west-facing enough for guests to recline among the treetops and enjoy a breathtaking sunset each evening of their stay. The location on the river bank means the yard is a beach, which is also a standout feature of the treehouse. Finally, it is the accommodation itself. How often does one get to sleep in a tent far up in a tree?

The Seaside Tree Tent is accessed by a long, wooden boardwalk, which leads up and to the large wooden platform where the tent is situated. The tent houses a cozy and comfortable queen-sized bed, and for lazy days the sunset can be enjoyed from here. Outside on the deck is a small dining table, a separate washroom, and a shower from which guests have an uninterrupted view of the surrounding trees. Within the tent is also a small kitchenette, though there is a BBQ out on the deck too for those that want to make the most of the fabulous surroundings.

Plenty of extras are thrown in for guests to get the absolute most out of their stay at the Seaside Tree Tent. Two kayaks with paddles are available for guests to use and this is a perfect way to further explore the tranquil river. Bicycles are also provided for more energetic guests who may wish to get out into their surroundings and see a bit more of the local area. There are also fishing rods, and wood is supplied for the fire pit. Everything one needs for a holiday of escapism in the forest!
