Treehouse in South Africa: Pezulu Tree House Lodge
Pezulu Tree House Lodge is a small exclusive Game Lodge, situated in the game-rich area of Hoedspruit, Limpopo Province, which makes it is the ideal place to relax and take in all that the South African wilderness has to offer.
With each treehouse built around the canopy of growing trees, the unique accommodation fuses nature and comfort. Built to celebrate its surroundings, Pezulu Tree House Lodge is intentionally small, welcoming only a maximum of 37 guests at one time to keep the experience personal for each guest. Because of this, it always feels a little bit like you have the lodge to yourself, which is quite a luxury indeed. All the treehouses are well spaced out too, so when you have checked in it feels as though you are the only people out in the bush.
The area in which the Pezulu Treehouse Lodge is set, the Limpopo Province of South Africa, is known for the richness of the animals in the area. It is also close to the Panorama Route and the world-famous Kruger National Park. So if there is not enough to see from the amazing treehouses then further excursions are easy to come by. The treehouses are carefully built within the growing canopy of the surrounding trees, inviting the wildlife to be a part of the structures rather than frighten them away. It is certainly a treat to recline on a private veranda or perhaps just glance out of the window from the comfort of your bed and watch what feels like your own private nature documentary.
The 10 treehouses that make up the Pezulu Treehouse Lodge vary in size and grandeur. Some are aimed more for family trips with outdoor showers and balconies to enjoy the animals. Others are perfect for honeymooners, with the most extravagant being the luxury honeymoon treehouse, suspended 23 feet in the air with a sunken bath overlooking the bush and of course, king size beds. All the treehouses offer a perfect combination of excitement and tranquility.
Prices for the Pezulu Treehouse Lodge start from €115 per night. Most of the treehouses are suitable for families, except for the honeymoon treehouses that have a king bed only.
