Treehouse in Thailand: Rabeang Pasak Treehouse Resort
Chiang Mai is already on the map as a must-see tourist destination. In the mountainous region of northern Thailand, the city is as full of energy as the surrounding countryside is relaxing. Just 70 kilometers from Chiang Mai is the Rabeang Pasak Treehouse Resort, a small slice of paradise in the peaceful teakwood forest. As you step into the resort, wooden cabins are seen at varying heights in the trees and at ground level too, surrounded by bamboo and blending in with the environment. Those needing a break from the city will find the perfect escape here.
Rabeang Pasak Treehouse Resort is a family-owned and run business. It has grown organically over time, with treehouses being added to the property slowly, as and when the timing and designs were just right and there are now 6 different treehouses to choose from. Care was taken in the creation of each treehouse and each one is unique, fitting perfectly into the trees living on its chosen location. A river runs through the property, and the sound of running water is the background noise heard from each of the treehouses, alongside cicadas of course, and other natural sounds from the jungle.
The main feature of the accommodation at Rabeang Pasak Treehouse Resort is the view. The treehouses all have private outdoor terraces or balconies from which a spectacular panorama is afforded. Some have open-air showers so guests feel in touch with the natural surroundings at every moment during their stay. Some of the treehouses are spread over two levels, and surely there is nothing better than waking up to a view of the treetops that can be enjoyed without stepping out of bed.
The cost to spend a night at Rabeang Pasak Treehouse Resort starts from €70 though prices vary seasonally. Rates include breakfast each morning for those guests that book directly.
