Treehouse in the UK: Treetops Treehouse

The Treetops Treehouse can be found among the grounds of the Fox and Hounds Hotel in the Devonshire countryside in the UK. This family-friendly, luxury treehouse sits beside the trout pond in the lower fields beyond the hotel gardens. The tree of choice to support this awesome structure is a glorious, ancient oak, thought to be more than 250 years old. Staying here is a special retreat indeed, a perfect combination of relaxation and adventure for the whole family.

When guests stand in some areas of the Treetops Treehouse, it is hard to believe that the extraordinary construction is so high up in the canopy of the old oak tree. Therefore, peeking out of the many windows at the incredible view offers plenty of welcome reminders! The picturesque Devon countryside surrounds the treehouse on all sides and bird-boxes are attached to the tree itself, allowing guests the opportunity to spot owls and other birdlife carrying out life among the branches. The secluded location of the treehouse means that sometimes deer and even otters can be seen in the area, and of course, the elevated nature of the house means that wildlife is often completely unaware that it is being watched!

The master bedroom of the Treetops Treehouse has a king-size bed, while the separate room for children has bunk beds. The ensuite bathroom has all the luxuries you could want and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for your stay. The cosy lounge has a wood-burner for those (regular) chilly English days and French doors leading to one of the stand-out features of this house, the impressively large outdoor deck. There is certainly no need to leave the treehouse for the duration of your stay!

The rates for a stay in the Treetops Treehouse vary according to season and start from €220. It is also cheaper to book a mid-week stay than a weekend break.
