Treehouse in the USA: Treehouse Point

The treehouses at Treehouse Point seem as though they somehow organically came into being at the same time as the trees. This did not happen by luck or coincidence, but thanks to the expertise and incredible craftsmanship of the Nelsons. Their lifelong passion for treehouses combined with the professional skills of the whole family has created a wonderful place where nature is most certainly king, though adventure is not far behind.

Since 2004, when the Nelsons purchased the land that was to become Treehouse Point, there have been many additions to the site. As of 2020, six iconic treehouses stand proudly on the site. Each one has been carefully designed to make the most of the tree around which it is based, without imposing too much on the tree or causing damage. The goal is to give visitors the feeling of walking through the canopy itself as the man-made structures simply blend into the surrounding forest. It is possible to book these treehouses for overnight stays. There are also lodges used for events only, a central area used as a reception, and two bathhouses.  If you are feeling nosey, it is possible to simply book a tour of the treehouses here too!

Treehouse Point can be found in the Snoqualmie Valley, in the forests of Washington State. When standing beneath the trees here, it is hard to believe that Seattle can be reached in just 30 minutes. It is like stepping into a fairytale land, and all the staff works hard to ensure that a guest’s every need is taken care of. The treehouses are accessed by ladders and rope bridges, and those that spread over two floors have ladders within too. All offer a perfect panorama of the surrounding forest and all make standout features of the trees themselves.

Any of the treehouses at Treehouse Point can be booked for a 2-night minimum stay excluding the largest, Burl, which must be booked for a minimum of 3 nights. Rates start at around €280 per night.
