Treehouse in New Zealand: Yellow Treehouse Cafe

The Redwoods Treehouse was commissioned to the Pacific Environments Architects Ltd. (PEL) as part of a marketing campaign by Yellow in 2008. The result is a striking pod-shaped structure built ten meters high in a Redwood tree near Warkworth, north of Auckland. Access to the Treehouse is provided by an elevated tree-top walkway which was built using Redwood milled on site. When the campaign was complete the ownership passed to the landowner.

The Experience Group has secured the exclusive rights to manage this popular structure and it is now available for use as a private venue. Redwoods Treehouse is a versatile space as a corporate venue for private functions and events like work parties, product launches, intimate weddings, and other celebrations.

The Redwoods Treehouse is unfortunately not open for casual restaurant dining. Venue hire of the Redwoods Treehouse is $3000 + GST. The hire of glasses, cutlery, crockery, and the wait staff is additional and to be organized through the catering company. The Treehouse can hold 30 guests for a seated meal or 50 for a more casual stand-up function.
